Thankful Through Tribulation

get-attachment (8)

Trials will come. It is enevitable. God never says you won’t have hard times, however, he does say he will be with us through it all! Good times and in bad! And he has given us everything we need in him to overcome the hard times.

1 Corinthians 10:13 says, “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.”

My favorite, James 1:2-8 says,

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

During trials, I try ( it is easier said then done) to be thankful that he is with me. That I am not doing anything or going through anything without God by my side. And that gives me a peace. Even though in the particular moment, peace is the farthest thing from my situation. It is also good to remember. Your circumstances do not define who you are. It is just a passing moment. And coming through trials and tribulations produces strength and endurance!

Romans 5:3, “More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance.”

We are becoming stronger in our faith. And all these are easy to be thankful for! During your next trial, I challenge you to have a thankful attitude, and see the outcome of your overcoming.  And as always, give all the glory to God!
