Unrelenting Peace

John 14:27 NIV “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

When we trust in our God for a peace that only He can deliver, we are standing up to our flesh by refusing to ride the emotional roller coaster of life.

Recently, I have allowed myself to waiver back and forth in trusting God and letting life’s unexpected circumstances rule my thoughts.  I have felt all over the place in my emotions this week and have honestly just felt drained.  I began to realize that I have allowed the enemy to step in my thoughts and steal my peace and joy.

How easy it seems to just ride the ups and downs of moments as they come your way when in reality that “easy” way is absolutely exhausting.  Not knowing if your are going to be up, down, or maybe even pushed to the side at a whim.

True peace in your life will bring a steadfastness of security to know that no matter what is thrown your way (good or bad) or who you are surrounded by that is on the emotional roller coaster, that you don’t have to ride with them.

Isaiah 54:10 NIV “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed.’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”

Focusing on your priorities and goals through Jesus will help you stay on the path of peace.

Matthew 11: 28-30 NIV “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in your heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

God, I thank you for your amazing peace that covers me no matter how small or big of a mountain I face.  I pray for all of us as women, balancing the many roles that we play and hats that we wear, that we continually look to you for guidance and that we follow your peace.  Most importantly, for us to be at peace that we are good enough.  Amen.
