Confession of a Wife: Who Sometimes Hates Her Husband

get-attachment (44)

Yes I did it, I went there. Oh c’mon, you know you were thinking it! I just actually came out and typed an entire blog post about it.
Marriage……Movies, you have absolutely made it awful for women giving us our false expectations of what relationships should really look like!

We are all about fairy tales and rainbows, and when relationships turn to junk and problems arise, we want to blame God. We want to scream and throw a fit that he is not acting like our “prince charming”.

But I bet, I am no fairy princess!

It all comes down to Romans 3:23, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Not just husbands, but ALL!!! Wives included!

We mess up. We are sinners.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—Ephesians 2:8.

What I am trying to get at is that we are not perfect, far from it, so we are bound to make mistakes and make people mad at us, and we are bound to be mad at others.

I feel it happens more with your husband/significant other and children more as we have a certain expectation of their behavior.

Do your husband a favor and lower the expectation bar quite a bit! Instead pray for him and pray for your marriage. When the going gets tough, cuddle up on the couch, give him lots of cuddles and kisses, because the Lord has blessed you with him and him with you.

The Lord loves the union of a marriage.

Honor the Lord with your marriage. Anger is NOT of the Lord and not honoring to him either.  I pray this blesses you and helps perspective when we become upset not just at our husbands, but people in general!
