It’s July 4th!! Happy Independence Day, Americans. It is such a blessing to be able to celebrate with our friends and loved ones. With all political conflicts aside, one thing we can all agree is that God has truly blessed this nation over and over again! In this post I would like to share some tips to making a day with the family special. Even though this is themed for Independence Day, you can easily use these ideas on any family outing/holiday.

The first tip is one that instantly made me excited about bon-fires. If you’re like me and live where having a backyard bonfire is not realistic, you’ll love this one!

How to:

You’ll Need…

  • a terracotta plant pot
  • tin foil
  • charcoal

Line your pot with tin foil and empty some charcoal into it. It will vary on the amount according to the size pot you have. Light it up and you have a cute bon fire! Tip: Break out the smores 😉

The next tip comes from Lil’ Luna, and she shares with us this awesome rice crispy treat!Red-White-and-Blue-Fourth-of-July-Rice-Krispies-Treats.-So-festive-700x876

Need a quick table décor idea?

Grab a couple of bottles (Starbucks bottles work perfectly, or mason jars!), cut a few flowers, place in water and add these cute flags from the Dollar Tree. You can also add a little ribbon to complete this look. It’s quick, simple, budget-friendly, and cute.

What is an outside event without drinks!?

Here is a cute recipe for a layered drink of red white and blue. Click here!

I hope these quick tips are helpful for whatever size party you may be having. Happy Fourth of July, be safe, enjoy your friends and family and don’t forget to share God’s love (even when the hot dogs get burnt!) ;).

God Bless.
